Sticking to the transcript helped illustrate how simultaneously duplicitous and bumbling the FBI agents were. (Mazin's Chernobyl is probably the most tragic offender.) Too many directors and their apologists think they have to completely jazz up the story and change everything. I loved the decision to stick strictly to the record for the dialogue.
